Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in AV system installation, programming, or troubleshooting. Familiarity with AV equipment, control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron), and sound systems. Leadership experience and strong communication skills. Valid driver’s license. Great Perks!

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires job related accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials This position operates a vehicle so requires a valid SC Drivers License. Preferred Qualifications An associate degree in engineering, electronics or related field and/or six years of experience in the installation of low voltage systems (preferably Audiovisual). Be in possession of a valid CTS. Possess an in depth understanding of commercial Audiovisual systems including but not limited to control systems, video systems and audio systems. Understanding of network system hardware components as well as a basic understanding of network addressing, VLANs and firewalls. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Above average electrical and mechanical skills needed to troubleshoot/install complex electronic systems. Working knowledge of electronic test equipment. Good organizational skills and a strong work ethic. Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS and Biamp automated control system troubleshooting, and maintenance experience needed. Ability to read AV wiring diagrams, architectural construction drawings and operational manuals for electronics and gear. Excellent reading comprehension and writing skills. Proficient with Microsoft365. Ability to travel. Job Duties Job Duty Responsible for leading assigned technician crews in the installation, tool and equipment handling, team communication and testing of Audiovisual systems and components. Work progress and milestones achieved are to be documented in ServiceNow and shared with the project coordinator. Duty also includes coordinating with DoIT-TLT inventory control to access equipment as needed. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 50 Job Duty Work with team members to prepare for projects. This work includes (but is not limited to), assisting engineers on the design of AV systems as needed, performing site surveys, attending stakeholder meetings and becoming familiar with project documents (drawings, pick lists, hazmat surveys, etc.). This duty also includes gathering and organizing project materials and tools needed for the job. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Field repairs and maintenance on AV systems as assigned via ServiceNow incidents. This duty will entail diagnosis of equipment failures and requires reporting back findings to the DoIT-TLT repair tech and ServiceNow incident. Duty also includes coordinating with DoIT-TLT inventory control to access replacement equipment as needed. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty Provide AV system operational training to AV system users as needed. This duty also includes assisting service technicians when needed. This may include both ad-hoc requests assigned in ServiceNow or assisting engineering during scheduled training events.
