POSITION OVERVIEW
The AV Installer is responsible for participating in the installation and commissioning of audiovisual systems at customer sites. This role involves working within a crew, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate is a good teammate, technically skilled, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced, real-world environments like schools, offices, and commercial facilities. Providing Audio Visual and Classroom Technology services to Public Sector, K-12 and Commercial Clients are all fundamental to our success. This is a full-time position as an Audio-Visual Technician with the possibility of some overtime work as required. The Audio-Visual Technician will be responsible for working with a crew lead for the installation of projection, integrated classroom, video teleconferencing, paging, video display, voice reinforcement and video conferencing systems. The individual must be able to read drawings that are provided for jobs, manage materials used on job, oversee quality implementation, communicate effectively to Client and Encore Project Management, and ensure delivery is on-time and adhering to project scope. Qualified individuals should be available to work flexible hours and support travel to accommodate client schedules and locations. Vehicle and tools will be provided by Encore.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
Audio Visual Technician :
Assist the AV team on implementation of tasks, staying on-time and on-budget Communicating status effectively daily to the Audio-Visual Lead Technician Attending internal meetings and communication regarding project Assist the Lead Audio Visual Technician with pre-configuring equipment in a lab prior to deployment (as needed) Install equipment per client’s pre-determined specifications and provide detailed documentation during this process Assist the Lead Audio Visual Technician with all aspects of Audio Visual/ Classroom technology needs, including pulling low-voltage cabling, performing terminations, punch downs, and providing full testing/validation results of all runs Assist the Lead Audio Visual Technician Configuring, Testing, and Training the end user/users on new solution Develop product training material. Maintain an in-depth level of technical and industry knowledge through ongoing training, seminars and certifications through ongoing training, seminars and certifications.
