Audio/Video Technician Position Available In Davidson, Tennessee

Audio/Video Technician TradeCorp 535 Spence Lane, Nashville, TN 37210 TradeCorp is growing and we are looking for an experienced Audio/Video installation technician to join our team. We are looking for candidates that are self-motivated, personable and of good character. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs service, installation, and activation of security systems, surround sound systems, system components, speakers, TV hangs, remote controls, and systems requiring Control4 automation products and lighting Communicate with the customer to review the work orders, answer customer questions professionally and properly Instruct and train the customer/end user on the system functions and operation. Must also be able to work and perform duties of Trim Technician Have in depth knowledge of security systems operation, functions, and wiring requirements Handle after hours emergency service calls (as assigned on a rotation basis) Understand and communicate pricing for monitoring rate tiers to customers Demonstrate and train customers on advanced monitoring solutions (i.e. Alarm.com) Troubleshoot and repair security system problems, malfunctions, and false alarms Troubleshoot and repair existing wiring installed by the company for Phone/Data/Intercom/Security/WAP’s/Basic Audio/Cameras/etc. Install, setup and train homeowners on AV component packages. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience with security and Audio Video installations required Control4 Associate Installer & Automation Programmer certifications through SnapAV preferred Knowledge of cable types and technologies and can distinguish which types to use in installation scenarios Ability to accurately assess system design and functionality when adding additional components Knowledge of setup of Networking requirements for Routers, Switches, DVR’s, Network Components, WAP’s, etc. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work in a clean and unobtrusive manner Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within standard accepted practices. Must have or be willing to obtain basic tools to perform job responsibilities. Must be able to clear a background check and drug screening Clear MVR required Technical or Vocational related schooling is preferred

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear. Frequent use of step ladders and extension ladders Frequent amount of lifting up to 50 pounds Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
