Position Description and Qualifications

Job Posting Summary:

The Multimedia Technology Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the setup, production, and delivery of high-quality digital media content while also contributing to the technical maintenance and support of media and technology systems across campus. Reporting to the Director of Technology- HS, this role combines technical proficiency with creative vision, offering both event-based support (especially for athletics and arts broadcasts) and day-to-day assistance with technology used in classrooms and common areas. This position also includes mentoring students involved in broadcast media and production.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Abides by Ensworth’s Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct

Adheres to the Essential Expectations of an Ensworth Faculty, Staff, or Administrator
Support multi-camera broadcasting and recording of athletic, arts, and community events, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting of video and audio equipment
Capture and edit video content for digital platforms and promotional use
Provide day-to-day technical support for multimedia systems, broadcasting infrastructure, and classroom AV equipment and broadcasting infrastructure
Respond to Help Desk requests related to multimedia events, video editing, and digital signage, and general IT support
Maintain and organize digital media libraries and broadcasting archives
Train and mentor students on video production workflows, software, and equipment use
Provide logistical support for multimedia projects and event coverage
Assist with maintaining software, workstations, and printer connections used in multimedia operations
Participate in the installation and deployment of new media technology and video systems
Support and document AV procedures, multimedia setups, and system upgrades
Stay current with best practices and trends in video production, live streaming, and digital content creation
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in video production, digital creative content, or closely related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in using broadcasting and video production equipment, content creation, or sports marketing
Prior experience in videography, photography, multimedia editing, and knowledge of digital marketing and social media-driven content
Advanced understanding and ability to use broadcast production switchers, computers and digital technology, including Apple computers, Ross Video Systems, XPression, Adobe Creative Cloud, and NDI and Dante protocols
Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all constituents in a school environment, including students, co-workers, parents, alumnae, volunteers, and the public
Possess a positive team mentality with excellent problem-solving, multi-tasking, and organization skills
Professional and efficient in their ability to work independently while also able to collaborate with internal teams and external partners effectively
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with differing deadlines
High degree of accuracy, superior attention to detail
Must successfully complete background screening and verification
Continued Education Programs (as required by Grade Level and/or position) – Periodically participate in different training sessions identified by you, the employee and/or Divisional Leadership/Supervisor with the goal of keeping our teachers and staff up to date with current teaching methods, practices and any new knowledge in their respective field. Dependent on the program, such training may need to take place outside of normal working hours and/or in the summer months.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Proficiency in video equipment operation and live streaming technologies.
Strong video editing skills, with experience using editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
Knowledge of live video production workflows and techniques.
Ability to mentor and guide students in a supportive learning environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Frequently required to move around the campus to various athletic playing fields
Ability to occasionally move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Occasionally works in a stressful performance environment, effectively dealing with various challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts
Ensworth requires employees to be physically present on campus, with limited exceptions that are at the sole discretion of the School. Under extraordinary circumstances, some or all of the workforce may be required to move to a remote working environment. Additionally, certain individuals may also be approved for limited remote work, based on the nature of the job description, specific circumstances, and only with written prior approval by a direct supervisor.
