The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in audio and visual technology, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain various systems. This role is essential in ensuring that all audio-visual equipment operates smoothly for events, presentations, and installations. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service. Duties Set up, operate, and maintain audio-visual equipment for events and installations. Perform troubleshooting on audio, video, and lighting systems to ensure optimal performance. Read and interpret schematics to assist in the installation and maintenance of AV systems. Utilize hand tools for the assembly and disassembly of equipment. Manage cabling and low voltage wiring to ensure safe and efficient setups. Provide field service support, addressing client needs promptly and professionally. Collaborate with event coordinators to understand technical requirements for various events. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, repairs, and inventory. Experience Candidates should have a solid foundation in the following areas: Electrical systems related to audio-visual technology. Computer hardware knowledge for troubleshooting software issues. Mechanical knowledge relevant to the assembly and maintenance of AV equipment. Experience with low voltage cabling techniques. Proficiency in using hand tools necessary for installation tasks. Previous experience in field service roles is preferred but not mandatory.
