Position Summary:
The Technology Specialist is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems, managing network infrastructure, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities:

Low Voltage Work:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems including security cameras, access control, and smart home devices. Follow local codes and best practices for low-voltage installations. Provide client training on system operations. 2.
Audio & Video Installation:
Install and configure TVs, soundbars, receivers, whole-home audio, and smart AV control systems. Calibrate and test AV equipment for performance and compatibility. Perform rack assembly, wire management, and troubleshooting. 3.
Networking Management:
Design, install, and manage network systems: routers, switches, access points, and firewalls. Configure VLANs, IP schemas, and security protocols. Troubleshoot connectivity issues and optimize performance. 4. Windows & Microsoft 365
Support:
Provide computer setup and support for Windows 11 environments. Manage Microsoft 365 accounts, email, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint access. Assist clients with device syncing, software issues, and security configurations. 5.
Customer Soft Skills:
Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients. Walk clients through basic troubleshooting and system use. Maintain professionalism in high-stress or high-touch environments.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience with low-voltage or IT/AV installations. Proficient with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Excellent analytical and customer service skills. Comfortable working in a variety of residential and commercial settings. Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN. Familiarity with network security best practices and tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and on ladders.
Job Types:
Full-time, Contract Pay:
$17.00 – $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

1099 contract Hourly pay
