Job Overview EMCI Wireless is seeking a qualified and experienced System Technician to program, troubleshoot, repair, align, and maintain radio communication equipment in and around the Polk County, Florida area.

Location :

Lakeland, Florida Employment Type:

Full-Time, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation :

$30-35/hr., paid biweekly

Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Repair :

Perform regular maintenance checks, troubleshoot issues, and repair systems as needed to ensure optimal performance for Police, Fire, EMS, and various local government entities.

Customer Support:

Provide excellent customer service by responding to service requests promptly and addressing any concerns related to system functionality.

Technical Training :

Educate customers on system operation and maintenance, ensuring they are confident in using their new equipment.

Documentation :

Maintain accurate records of service calls, work performed, and any issues encountered, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.

Collaboration :

Work closely with project managers, sales teams, and other technicians to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

Safety Compliance :

Follow all safety protocols and procedures during installations and repairs to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications, but training will be provided to develop the preferred qualifications. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the technical services field – Motorola land mobile radio experience a plus A strong technical aptitude and an ability to grasp concepts and practices quickly Associate’s degree (AS/AA) or technical training in the areas of electronics, computers, networking, RF or equivalent work experience (OJT). Intermediate knowledge of RF test equipment such as Transmission Impairment Test Sets, signal generators, RF service monitors, spectrum analyzers, Site Master, and LAN testers.

Drug Screening:

Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Background Check :

Must pass a pre-employment background check with no criminal convictions.

Age & Work Eligibility :

Must be 18 years of age or older and legally eligible to work in the United States.

Driver’s License :

Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Language Proficiency:

Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Initiative:

Must be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.

Professional Appearance:

Must maintain a clean and professional appearance.

Communication Skills :

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.

Customer Service :

A strong customer service mindset with the ability to handle inquiries politely and efficiently.

Organizational Skills:

Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Computer Proficiency:

Must be familiar with navigating and using software programs on a computer.
