Broadcast Engineering position 1.5 1.5 out of 5 stars Nashville, TN 37203 Rural Media Group, INC is currently seeking an individual to fill an open, part time, Broadcast Engineering position. An ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of television network environment. Responsibilities will include installation, support, and maintaining of all equipment within the broadcast environment. This equipment includes video production and master control switchers, video routers, video servers, studio and ENG cameras, video monitors, audio equipment, intercom and IFB systems, graphics equipment, computers, IP transmission equipment, and other electronic equipment generally associated with a television network. Daily Responsibilities The Broadcast Engineer requires a wide range of technical skills necessary to perform maintenance, installation, operation of broadcast equipment in both studio and outside broadcast facilities in a fast-paced production environment. In-house production support of live and recorded programming requires a strong knowledge of broadcast infrastructure which includes technical spaces (control rooms, studios) and traditional support for an onsite business team. Collaboration with Engineering team members, Vendors, clients and other support groups is required to troubleshoot and resolve issues with broadcast/multimedia systems in our production environments.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

2 or 4 year technical degree/certifications are preferred, however, not essential with previous relevant experience in television. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities. This may include some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong analytical mind, technical background, and an ability to work calmly under pressure. Knowledge of the following equipment a plus:
