Manager of Creative Services Mote Marine Laboratory 1600 Ken Thompson Parkway, Sarasota, FL 34236 Overview We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Creative Services Manager to lead our creative team in visually translating Mote’s mission and priorities to audiences inside and outside the organization. This position is also responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of brand standards; liaising with other departments within the lab and with external contractors/ vendors; and providing leadership within the Community Relations and Communications Department. The Creative Services Manager is expected to seek out new and innovative solutions for accomplishing these responsibilities, in addition to leveraging existing methods and platforms. The position oversees other staff, interns and volunteers as needed to ensure that Mote’s identity is successfully represented in all visual materials. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a related field. At least 5 years of practical experience in graphic design, visual communications, brand management, and/or a closely related field. A minimum of 3 years experience in direct supervision of staff. Experience with one or more project organization and task management platforms such as ClickUp, Monday.com, Asana or Hive. Strong knowledge of, and practical experience with design operations. Ability to demonstrate experience with all aspects of a creative project, from conceptualization through installation or production. Experience with performance evaluation techniques and key metrics. Experience leading an “in-house” creative team. Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs.
