CG Life is looking for a seasoned Creative Director of Copy witha deep passion for advertising and a genuine enthusiasm for thehealthcare and biopharma space. The ideal candidate brings acompelling portfolio of smart, creative, and strategically groundedwork with biopharma and healthcare—without the ego that sometimescomes with it. The Creative Director is a natural leader andcollaborator, with a proven ability to manage and mentor creativeteams in the biopharma AOR and DAOR space. They understand how tobuild structure, delegate effectively, and foster an environmentwhere people feel empowered to do their best work. Above all, we’relooking for someone who combines creative excellence with humility,curiosity, and a true love of the craft. Key Responsibilities,including but not limited to: Leading the creative copywriting teamInspire, direct, and motivate a team of copywriters across severalaccounts, overseeing concept development, brand storytelling, andexecution across multiple healthcare audiences including HCPs,patients, and other relevant stakeholders. Champion the creativeprocess and toolset evolution to increase quality, efficiency anddrive continual improvement. Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to develop high-impact, insight-driven creative solutionsthat maintain accountability for the quality, consistency, andstrategic cohesion of all written communications across projectsand brands. Ensure all copy aligns with brand strategy, productclaims, clinical data, and the client’s voice and culture. Serve asa senior client-facing creative leader, presenting work, defendingstrategy, and building trusted relationships with clients and brandteams. Provide ongoing training, feedback, and support to thecreative teams and complete annual performance reviews. Ensureresourcing manager is appraised of any workload challenges/concernson client accounts that may necessitate hiring freelancers ormoving team members around to better utilize their time andtalents. This includes advocating for time necessary to do highquality work. Working with clients and internal teams Demonstrateability to work cross-functionally within the agency with clientservice teams, strategy, digital strategy, project management, andmore. Establish credibility with clients at all levels bydeveloping knowledge of client’s business-both the brand itself andstakeholders involved. Manage client’s understanding, appreciationfor, and evaluation of written content, and lead creative meetingsand presentations. Champion bold, transformative ideas and tetherthem to omni-channel marketing strategy–thinking conceptually andideating for holistic, digitally-powered brand campaigns.

Exceptional ability to assist with and/or present creative ideas toclients and internal team members, including relevant pitchexperience in the biopharma space. Assist with the development orreview of creative briefs that provide strategic insight andcreative inspiration. Pitch to high-profile senior clients with anunderstanding of their motivations and objectives. Fundamentallyown the creative product, throughout the creative process throughconcept development to execution and delivery and ensuring creativeexcellence.

Requirements Qualifications and Skills:

8-10 years ofrelated work experience in advertising at a healthcarepharmaceutical agency. 5 years managing and mentoring agencycopywriters and creative teams. The ability to execute copyskillfully across multiple channels, including print, video anddigital (websites, online banners, social media, etc. TV or radioad writing a plus.). Strong conceptual skills as demonstrated byyour portfolio of work. The ability to dive into complex scienceand technologies and glean key ideas and information to convey totarget audiences that meets the objective. An understanding ofagency and creative collaboration processes. Ability to present andsell an idea to internal teams and with clients. Ability to manageseveral projects at once. Understanding of and expertise in pharmacopy requirements: claims, references, research, and copy thatmeets the requirements of the FDA and client med/reg/legal review.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat tools.

As required by law in this state, theestimated salary range for this position is $140,000 – $170,000 andrepresents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidatesare likely to expect. We tailor our offers within the range basedon organizational needs, internal equity, market data, geographiczone, and the selected candidate’s experience, education, industryknowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and otherfactors that may prove relevant during the selection process. At CGLife, it is not common for individuals to be hired at the higherend of the range, and compensation decisions depend on a variety offactors. This position is eligible to participate in adiscretionary bonus program, subject to the rules governing theplan.
