Assistant Wedding Coordinator Leigh & Co. Events New Orleans, LA 70174 Leigh & Co. Events is a fast-growing wedding planning company. We provide wedding design, wedding coordination and planning services for engaged couples. The Assistant Wedding Coordinator position is an exciting opportunity for those seeking real-world experience in the wedding industry. This position is for weekday and weekend weddings and compensation is $150 per wedding. This position will work under the lead wedding planner to provide a helping hand for all weddings. It’s a great position for those looking to gain experience in the event industry. You will work alongside our lead coordinators to execute weddings. Be an advocate for the couple, keeping them calm under pressure and assisting with any issues that arise throughout the day Oversee ceremony & reception set up Execute all day-of operations for the wedding, which includes being at the venue from the very beginning of the morning through tear down at the end of the night Greet and direct all vendors Communicate with all vendors regarding set ups Set up of seating cards, menu cards, table numbers, favors, guest book and other decor Assist the wedding party and family with any needs, questions or concerns Ensure end of event arrangements are made for gifts, guest book, toasting flutes, etc. Requirements Ability to work weekends is essential Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented Must have reliable transportation Must be able to carry and lift 30 lbs.
