Yes Job Summary TheRegistered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursingprocess (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementationand evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
Collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues, includingphysicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care. Demonstratescompetency and practices within the full scope of nursingexpertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and populationspecific standards as designated in their assigned clinicalsetting. Cares for patients in all phases of preventative care,health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as patientsmove along the continuum of care. Responsible for the planning andcoordination of care, patient assessment, patient education,triage, and various other nursing interventions. Functions withinthe scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in theNurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practiceand licensure. The Sanford Professional Nursing Practice recognizesthe Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics forNurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the AmericanNurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery andprofessional conduct. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursingis preferred. Specific services/positions may have additionaleducation, training or experience requirements. Requires currentlicensure as a Registered Nurse in the state, or states, ofpractice. Nurses performing nursing practice over the telephonerequire licensure in the states where the patients being servedreside. Certification may be required depending on specialty orservice area.
