USCG Captain Position Available In Davidson, Tennessee

USCG Captain Pontoon Saloon 2 Victory Avenue, Nashville, TN 37213 We are Nashville’s premier Passenger Vessel in downtown Nashville along the Cumberland River. We provide 2-hour tours from Nashvilles Riverfront, our tours include music, a capacity up to 45 passengers, and an on-board bar for our guests. We entertain many tourists, bachelor and bachelorette groups, and corporate team outings, 7 days a week. We strive to make our guest’s celebrations even more memorable.

Job Description:

Captains are responsible for the safe transportation of guests onboard our vessels as well as meeting the safety requirements, rules, and regulations we abide by to provide a safe and fun environment. Captains will also be actively engaged with guests as we welcome and offload new guests. Work in tandem with the deckhand to clean and prepare the boat for the next cruise. Pay is based on experience, tip split, and hourly / per cruise pay with the opportunity to work 5+days a week.

Masters Captain:

Minimum $25 an hour + tips

SIGNIFICANT

Job Requirements:

Inland waters 25GT or greater masters license Experience driving passenger’s vessels is a plus but not required can be trained Ability to lift 30 pounds or greater Must have a cell phone with texting capabilities and an active email address Excellent verbal and communication skills Experience in the tour, service, entertainment, or music industry is preferred but not required Must be available on the rotation of day & evening weekend shifts including holiday weekends (Friday-Sunday) Ability to problem solve & think on your feet Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Comfortable being in an authoritative position over groups of people Benefits for our staff include access to our rental boats after 90 days of employment & access to Pontoon Saloon tickets at heavily discounted rates (21+ Activity) We recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
