Key Responsibilities Include:

Primary Duties Updates the master annual content calendar for the department Coordinates content submissions for internal weekly newsletter Oversees design requests from county Farm Bureaus to ensure a unified company brand Responsible for updating or creating seasonal toolkits and graphics for county Farm Bureaus Coordinates content and collaborates with the digital media coordinator for promotional graphics for county Farm Bureaus Responsible for writing and posting original creative print and digital media content that aligns to the FFBF mission. This includes but is not limited to monthly blogs, news stories, brochures, toolkits, advertisements, etc. Assists in preparing speeches and talking points for staff and members for county Farm Bureau events/meetings Submits content to highlight county Farm Bureaus to the Florida Farm & Family quarterly magazine Manages the online submissions for the Volunteer Communicator of the Year Award Creates and updates content for the FFBF website including updates of county Farm Bureau pages and events Represents Farm Bureau at events as media personnel Coordinates mailing list of the organization’s quarterly printed magazine, Florida Farm & Family Secondary Duties Conducts public relations related workshops (ie. branding, messaging), as needed for county Farm Bureaus and members Assists with written and digital content production, as assigned Serves as staff photographer, as needed Assists with county CARES recognitions, as needed Assists in event planning, as needed Assists in proofreading items for the Public Relations Department Stays up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communication and public relations Provides research assistance on assigned topics Tracks and measures online campaigns and website traffic through Google analytics Performs other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience Four-year college degree (major study in journalism, public relations or related discipline preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office and a familiarity in AP style is essential. Travel Must be able to travel within the state or elsewhere to support specific Farm Bureau events. A willingness to work nights and/or weekends may include overnight travel. Language Skills Ability to read and understand basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capable of composing simple correspondence. Effective in presenting information to individuals and small groups, including customers, clients, and colleagues. Mathematical Skills Competency in applying basic mathematical concepts. Ability to perform mathematical operations relevant to daily job functions. Reasoning Ability Skilled in solving practical problems and interpreting instructions provided in written, oral, or other formats. Strong proactive mindset and the ability to foster positive experiences for others. High emotional intelligence is critical for building productive relationships with members and team members.
