We create high-quality video and editorial content for enthusiasts and newcomers alike blending luxury, storytelling, and community. We’re seeking a sharp, creative, and detail-driven Content Editor to elevate our content across digital platforms. About the Role As our Content Editor, you will shape the voice and presentation of CigarTV’s content—both written and video. You’ll work closely with our producers, writers, videographers, and social media team to ensure every piece of content reflects the sophistication, style, and authenticity of the cigar lifestyle. From polishing feature stories and interviews to refining scripts and video edits, your role is essential in delivering content that resonates and inspires. Responsibilities Content Planning & Strategy Develop and maintain a content calendar aligned with CigarTV’s brand voice, audience interests, and seasonal campaigns. Collaborate with the marketing and video production teams to brainstorm story ideas and editorial features. Editing & Quality Control Review, edit, and proofread written and video content for clarity, grammar, accuracy, and consistency. Ensure all content aligns with CigarTV’s tone, aesthetic, and industry standards. Creative Storytelling Refine cigar reviews, lifestyle features, and interviews with industry professionals for maximum engagement. Shape scripts and narratives for video content, ensuring compelling delivery for CigarTV’s digital platforms. Content Optimization Optimize content for SEO, readability, and social media performance. Work closely with the digital marketing team to improve click-through rates, watch time, and engagement. Contributor Management Coordinate with freelance writers, guest contributors, and influencers to ensure timely delivery of quality content. Provide constructive editorial feedback and maintain editorial standards across all submissions. Research & Trends Stay updated on cigar industry trends, news, and emerging topics to keep CigarTV content relevant and fresh. Monitor competitors and audience preferences to identify content gaps and opportunities. Platform Oversight Oversee the publishing process on the website, YouTube, and social channels, ensuring consistency and visual appeal. Collaborate on newsletters, blog posts, and cross-promotional content with partners or sponsors. Compliance & Brand Integrity Ensure all content adheres to legal regulations regarding tobacco advertising and age-appropriate material. Uphold the sophistication and authenticity of the CigarTV brand in every piece of content. Other duties asassigned by the management team. Requirements Strong understanding of SEO and digital content strategy. Knowledge of YouTube’s content and monetization on policies. Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines with precision and poise. Strong communicator who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments. Passionate about storytelling and elevating brand narratives. Hands-on experience with video production or social content creation. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, Media Studies or related field. 3-5 years of experience in content editing, copywriting, or editorial work; preferably within lifestyle, luxury goods, digital media industries or enthusiast-driven audiences. Experience with video content editing and familiarity with production workflows is a big plus. Strong editorial judgment and an eye for visual storytelling, tone, and brand consistency. Proficient in edi ng tools (eg. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Suite (Premier Pro, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator), Meta, Grammarly, depending on content type). Experience in Meta, ChatGPT, Canva. Personal or professional interest in cigar culture is not required but considered a plus. Schedule 8 hours shift (9 am – 5 pm) Monday through Friday •This is an On-Site Only position.
