Exciting Opportunity for Note Takers/Recorders! We Currently have a need for several Professional NoteTakers/Recorders for an upcoming project! Note Takers must be familiar with Public Health and capable ofrecording/documenting notes from all pertinent communication withinthe Panel Review Meetings. In addition, the note taker must compilethe notes in a Summary Statement. Must have previous experiencerecording data from meetings, PowerPoint presentations, discussionsand Q&A sessions from the audience – and then condensing andsummarizing the main points of the discussion in paragraph form forthe report. Must be familiar with and have experience with the FAASsystem and error-free grammar.

Skills needed:

? The recorders are required to have at least a Bachelor?s Degreeand or, preferable, at least 3 years of experience performingwriter/editor services related to infectious diseases, specificallyHIV/AIDS, STDs, TB, or Viral Hepatitis. ? The writers will be scheduled to attend 4 days of panel meetingswhere each writer will be assigned to a panel room (3 reviewers, 1chairperson, and CDC staff) to develop and provide detailed,specific notes into draft statements within a database, the FOAApplicant Approval System (FAAS)- (prior experience with FAAS ispreferred). ? Must compile and submit a typed summary statement each dayfollowing the panel session. All summaries need to be grammaticallycorrect in the format that is provided to the recorders prior tothe start of the review panels. Spell Check is used within the FAASdatabase to ensure that the statements are free of grammaticalerrors. ? Strong skills with Microsoft Word as a backup in case weencounter FAAS connectivity issues during the meeting. ? Must ensure all written comments are captured and reviews arecompleted.
