Position Summary:
The New Orleans Pelicans are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Content Producer/Editor to lead and elevate our content creation and editorial efforts across broadcast, digital, and social platforms. This role is ideal for a creative professional with a deep passion for sports, storytelling, and innovative media production. What you will be doing:
Lead the development, production and editing of high-quality video and digital content for distribution across Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network, Pelicans+ and the New Orleans Pelicans internal marketing platforms
Create compelling storylines and narratives around players, coaches, games, behind the scenes moments and community initiatives
Oversee day-to-day planning, content calendar and execution of New Orleans Pelicans video features and behind the scenes content for Pelicans Ancillary Programming
Capture dynamic broadcast quality video footage at practices, games, press conferences, community events and exclusive access events
Assist with editing both long-form and short-form content for Broadcast TV including team features, player profiles, game recaps and behind the scenes footage
Collaborate with producers, talent and graphics teams to deliver polished content for weekly shows, studio programming and game broadcasts
Work closely with Digital Media, Basketball Communications, Corporate Partnerships, Community Relations and Marketing Teams to ensure quality, consistency, and creative flow of goals
Bring a vision to build engaging content across all team platforms including TV Broadcast, Radio Broadcast, Social and Digital Media
Participate in new content development including idea creation, research and concepts to help reach interpersonal goals
Stay ahead of trends in sports media and video production What you’ll bring: Minimum 5+ years of experience in managing video production in a broadcast or sports network environment
Consistently delivering high performing content under pressure, meeting creative and timeline
Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with broadcast workflows and media asset management systems
Solid experience operating ENG and Broadcast-style cameras and working knowledge of professional audio gear
Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
Strong storytelling skills with a deep understanding of sports culture and audiences
Comfortable conducting interviews and working closely with talent on-camera
Position will be required to lift 25 lbs. and work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
