The Lancaster News and Enquirer Journal
Monroe, NC Editor needed for two newspapers that publish twice per week. The Lancaster News, Lancaster SC and The Enquirer Journal, Monroe NC seeks an energetic editor to provide leadership for their newsrooms. The editor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the newsrooms. The editor works closely with the publisher to set the standards and policies for the news department. This position supervises a two person staff along with freelance writers, produces content, edits content and works with a regional pagination hub to ensure the production of the news pages. Required skills include excellent organizational skills for performing daily duties on tight deadlines. General computer skills are a must. Working knowledge of copyediting. Knowledge of AP style a plus. A bachelor’s degree in journalism or equivalent experience is preferred.
