American Music Position Summary:

Monmouth University is seeking applications for an Assistant Curator for the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music. This is a temporary position. This position will report to the Curator and will assist with exhibits and collections to ensure that new acquisitions to the collection are properly cataloged, handled and stored and to see that work-flows are maintained; help to gather materials to post on all social medial platforms to reach a wider audience through consistent messaging and provide analytical reports. Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in order to successfully complete assigned tasks, Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment

Educational background in music history and strong research skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
Ability to maintain records, documents, and schedules associated with the position
Strong verbal and written communication, including creating content on social media that is engaging and compelling
Must have a very strong sense of responsibility and excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically able to routinely lift up to fifty pounds from varying heights
