MESSAGE FROM DIRECTOR

12th House is a film born from the in-between — between sleep and wakefulness, presence and absence, love and loss. It was made as a collaboration between myself and my late husband, a shared creative vision that became, unknowingly, our final one.
In making this film, I was not interested in logic or linearity. I was drawn instead to feeling — the intuitive, the fragmented, the psychological terrain that defies structure. Through dreamlike imagery, voice-over, and music, 12th House enters a space that is both intimate and universal: the realm of grief, memory, and transformation.
As a woman filmmaker, I see this film not only as a personal expression, but as a language — one that speaks without explanation. I hope it resonates not through answers, but through atmosphere. This is a film for anyone who has floated between worlds, questioned the shape of reality, or felt the echo of a goodbye that came too soon.

What I Need:

Seeking an experienced film editor for a 15-minute short film currently in post. This is a personal, art-house style project intended for submission to festivals.

The edit requires:

• Creative cutting and pacing to support the surrealist, non-linear style
• Strong sense of rhythm with music-heavy sequences
• Incorporation of slow motion, layered visuals, and voiceover
• Syncing dual-language VO/subtitles (we’ll provide script)
• Sound design
• Light VF-Light color correction
• Exporting a festival-ready master
