Summary The Manager, Video & Creative Services will lead a dynamic creative team in developing and executing innovative strategies from concept to completion for the Rochester Americans. This role will drive the creative vision and uphold brand standards for the Rochester Americans, while collaborating across departments to ensure alignment and consistency. Duties & Responsibilities Direct and manage creative services team, by providing mentorship, guidance, and training to aid in the development of the staff by providing information, educational opportunities, experiential growth opportunities, and support.
Oversee creative service strategies including the day-to-day management and execution of our content production calendar and project management platform(s).
Lead the creative direction of video and graphic design projects for the Rochester Americans.
Work in collaboration with the Buffalo Sabres Creative Team for various projects as needed.
Work with other departments in Rochester for scheduling of video shoots, developing storyboards / scripts, interviews, marketing / sponsor needs, etc.
Assist with supporting on-site and off-site events, programs, and initiatives.
Work cross-departmentally to ensure brand standards are always upheld.
Work in collaboration with the business development department to integrate partner brands into organizational elements while ensuring brand standards are upheld.
Work collaboratively with the marketing department to execute the generation of unique, impactful, and engaging content for the brand.
Establish workflows for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and archiving content.
Provide proofing and editing support for all materials produced by creative services department.
Support productions as a producer and lead editor on video projects.
Ensure organizational elements are approved and delivered in acceptable timeframes.
Identify best practices and areas of growth based on industry trends.
Analyze post-production process and direct efforts aimed at continual improvement of workflows.
Manage and oversee storage and organization of creative equipment and digital assets, ensuring accessibility and optimal functionality.
Manage and oversee the budget for the creative services department.
Oversee and execute all creative service game night responsibilities, including but not limited to; capturing game footage, filming sponsor and marketing content, producing content for broadcasts, packaging post-game highlights for media use, etc.
Manage execution of league creative initiatives at the club level.
Maintain the upmost confidentiality.
Other projects as assigned by VP of Business Operations and as determined by business needs. Minimum Qualifications for the

Position:

Bachelor’s degree required with preferred areas of study including videography, graphic design, and/or editing
Minimum 4 years’ experience in videography and/or editing; graphic design, sports or entertainment industry experience preferred
Full knowledge of Adobe Premiere and knowledge of Adobe After Effects
Working knowledge of Photoshop and HTML
Additional skills in photography and copywriting are a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Experience with project management and using project management software
Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed Critical Competencies Have a critical eye and creative scope
Strong attention to detail, grammar and proofreading skills
Possess strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in highly visible, high-pressure environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Effective written and oral communication skills
Must be dependable, willing to take initiative and adapt to a variety of situations
