Job Description
CopyeditorKirkus Media, New YorkWork at Kirkus MediaResponsibilities Freelancers will be copyediting batches of short book reviews in Microsoft Word docs, ensuring they comply with AP Style and Kirkus’ own style conventions. Turnaround generally needed in 24-48 hours.
Qualifications Candidates must be careful, diligent copyeditors with magazine or newspaper experience. Knowledge of AP style is crucial, along with a predisposition to question where needed and consult the stylebook regularly. Flexibility of schedule and the ability to work quickly and independently are a plus.
