Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Apparel Surface Pattern & Textile Junior Designer to join our menswear design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile design, with a keen eye for patterns, colors, and trends that resonate with the modern male consumer. This role involves developing original surface patterns and textile designs that align with our brand’s aesthetic and appeal to our target market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create original surface patterns and textile designs for menswear collections, including but not limited to shirts, trousers, jackets, and accessories.
• Develop cohesive pattern collections that align with seasonal themes and brand identity.
• Translate conceptual ideas into tangible designs that can be applied to various fabrics and garments.

• Technical Execution:

• Prepare detailed technical specifications and repeat patterns suitable for production.
• Collaborate with the product development team to ensure designs are feasible and meet quality standards.
• Utilize design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) to create and modify patterns.
• Conduct market research to stay abreast of current and upcoming trends in menswear and textile design.
• Analyze competitor products and industry trends to inform design decisions.
• Work closely with fashion designers, product developers, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive product development.
• Participate in design meetings and contribute ideas for new products and improvements.

• Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in surface pattern or textile design, preferably within the menswear industry.

• Skills:

• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Proficiency in creating tech pack
• Strong understanding of textile properties, printing techniques, and garment construction.
• Excellent sense of color, pattern, and texture.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with CAD software specific to textile design.
• Knowledge of global fashion markets and cultural trends.
