Job Description Our client is looking to fill the role Freelance Technical Designer Apparel. We are working on a technical design role with a top apparel company based in the New England area. Role is 2 days onsite each week and 3 days working remotely. This company works on women’s, men’s and children’s apparel. Open to level and experience. We are seeking a skilled Technical Designer to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a leave. The ideal candidate will be able to independently handle all technical design responsibilities and contribute to our projects with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Develop products using our established technical design standards.
Conduct in-person fittings to ensure product accuracy and quality.
Work closely with vendors and sourcing teams to ensure successful execution of designs.
Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and models using industry-standard software.
Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure design integrity and compliance with standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during the development and production phases.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Design or related field
Experience in technical design, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and CLO 3D (training in 3D software will be provided if needed).
PLM – can train on that as well if needed
Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
