From large-scale pergolas to intricate railing systems, our client specializes in custom, design-forward fabrication projects. Their work is never off-the-shelf—it’s precise, collaborative, and built to last. With a small, tight-knit team and an ever-growing project load, we are looking to add a capable, curious, and hands-on Technical Designer

What You’ll Do:
Create internal and submittal drawings from concept through fabrication Develop detailed shop drawings and 3D renderings for use by clients and fabricators Interpret and break down complex, long-term architectural projects (some spanning 1-2 years) Talk directly with clients, vendors, and our fabricators to get the details right Order materials and assist with creating Bills of Materials (BOM) and procurement spreadsheets Utilize 3D scanning tools to digitize job sites for measurement and modeling Program CNC equipment for precise execution of unique parts Visit job sites occasionally for measurements and coordination Act as a bridge between design intent and real-world buildability
Tools & Skills You’ll Use:
AutoCAD, Revit (open to a range of proficiencies) CNC programming (a plus, not a must) 3D scanning and measurement tools Strong communication skills—collaboration with both shop and office teams Strong awareness of how things are built—not just how they look
What We’re Looking For:
2-3+ years of experience in a design/drafting role (ideally with architectural or fabrication exposure) Architectural education or background is preferred Someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and work through the full build process A detail-oriented designer with curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to grow Bonus points if you’ve worked in or around a metal shop, construction site, or similar hands-on environment

Salary starting at $70,000+ , with flexibility to offer more based on experience Direct hire role with health insurance after 60 days 401(k) with 3% employer match (after one year) Two weeks PTO + Paid Holidays Close-knit team in a collaborative environment
