ASSOCIATE DESIGNER
– Contemporary Sportswear (HYBRID)
Our client, a well-established contemporary brand is searching for an associate designer for immediate hire. Must have a Contemporary aesthetic designing sportswear including knits and woven’s alongside the VP of Design and Development. You will be a valuable part of the team with endless possibilities to grow.
Responsibilities:
Work on developing design strategies and execution for knit and woven sportswear
Assist with the development of time and action calendars for programs
Prepare trend boards for management meetings
Daily communication with overseas suppliers on all production details, and costing
Assist design team with sketch and cad creation utilizing adobe illustrator.
Work on creating tech packs with spec and measurement.
Approve lab dips, new fabric developments and the general flow of the process
Qualifications
3 plus years of experience in contemporary sportswear
Knowledge and understanding of knit and woven fabrics
Proficiency in illustrator and Photoshop
Problem-solving abilities meeting deadlines.
Microsoft Office Programs
BA Degree
