Freelance Technical Designer -Activewear

Job Description We are looking for a Freelance Technical Designer for a womens lifestyle brand. Experience in womens activewear, performance and sports bras is a plus! This is a freelance position and operates 3-4 days onsite in their NYC office. 30-32 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Executes the technical design process from development to final fit. Analyzes and evaluates garments to develop the correct fit specifications.
Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities, and cost specifications. Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors / factories for approvals and corrections. Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure the integrity of design-approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, or equivalent experience. 5-8+ years experience in technical design.
Excellent problem solver.
