Womens Footwear Designer Position Available In New York, New York

Womens Footwear Designer Studio Ray 512 7th Avenue, New York, NY 10018 Studio ray is seeking a Women’s Footwear designer for its 2 outdoor brand Zeroxposur & Gerry. Working as the design lead, this position is responsible for the development of the Women’s product line representative of the Zeroxposur & Gerry brand for both Spring and Fall seasons.

Major Responsibilities:

Identify key market trends create and develop full lines from concept to completion targeting key accounts and price points. Technical designer who has experience with outdoor, athletic and seasonal constructions Analyze product development and refine details of a sample Study markets, shop retail, and interact with consumer to establish trends Sources and choose materials for samples Present samples as envisioned

Specific Job Skills:

Interpersonal interactions with Merchandising and Sales teams Ability to perform complex verbal and written communications face-to-face and in-group settings Job duties are widely diverse, and frequently require conceptualizing, planning, and implementing Strong presentation skills and ability working with a group in an fast paced environment Strong understanding of construction, form, material, and color for Footwear. Education and/or

Experience:

College degree in the arts preferred Minimum 7 years’ experience in the footwear industry Efficient in Photoshop and Illustrator. Sketching knowledge Knowledge of target market Overseas travel
