Full Job Description Design Assistant Job Summary:

Pay range will depend on experience with flowers. Please keep in mind that flowers are expensive especially for local family owned florists. If experience lacks, the shop can be at risk of losing product when the job is not done correctly. The more experience with flowers, the higher pay. Experience involves recognizing flowers, knowing basic prep techniques of, comfort levels with sharp cutting equipment, carrying heavy buckets of water and carrying boxes of flower stems. With that being said, We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Floral Designer Assistant to join our team. As a Floral Designer Assistant, you will support our Main/Head Designers in various tasks related to flower design, customer service, flower hydration and inventory. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for design and a desire to learn and grow in the industry.

Responsibilities:

{Assisting Main/Head designer in handing and separating needed flowers} Hydrating flowers

• willing to carry buckets of water and utilize a professional flower stem cutter willing to learn basic principles of creating floral arrangements willing to learn basic principles of greenery placements Carry and organize clear vases in the mini storage unit Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment

Skills:

• Fluent in English and Spanish (required but not mandatory)
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers
• Familiarity with stock management and inventory control
• Knowledge of floral design or landscape maintenance is desirable
• Creative mindset with an eye for aesthetics and attention to detail
• Experience in working with flowers is mandatory
