The position reports to the Floral Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Greeting each customer with, “Good (morning, afternoon, evening)! Welcome to Rouses!” Engaging in appropriate conversations with customers and thanking them for choosing to shop with us Creating beautiful, eye-appealing floral arrangements using Rouse’s specifications Changing cut flower water regularly Culling and trimming foliage and blooms on potted plants Processing cut flower and plant deliveries Setting floral cases according to direction, using signage and pricing labels as directed Stocking cases and displays to maintain a fresh and full appearance Taking appropriate action to control and record shrink Understanding the store layout to easily locate products for customers Completing daily cleaning and sanitation procedures Maintaining a professional personal brand representation in the proper Rouse’s uniform Reporting to work on time and as scheduled Other duties, as assigned

Desired Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED Possess a Florist license (Louisiana only) or the ability to acquire one within 90 days of hire Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Physical Requirements:

Able to stand for extended periods of time Able to distinguish product quality and freshness standards Able to stoop, squat, reach and maneuver to move product, boxes, bags, shelving, carts and equipment Able to lift 50 lbs.
