Job Description
Lead Floral Designer Heritage Florals Wake Forest, NC 27587 We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Floral Designer to join our team and oversee the floral production of our signature weddings and events. This is a hands-on, leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and who finds joy in transforming stems into showstoppers. You’ll be responsible for bringing design recipes to life, leading design days with confidence, and ensuring every arrangement reflects the high standards of the Heritage brand.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and execution of all floral arrangements based on pre-approved recipes, design briefs, and event specs. Collaborate with the Creative Director and Design Manager to uphold the visual identity of each event. Supervise and mentor junior designers and freelancers during production days. Coordinate and prep hard goods, containers, and floral mechanics ahead of set-ups. Maintain a clean and organized studio environment with efficient workflow during production weeks. Participate in design meetings and provide creative input as needed. Support large-scale installations both in studio and on-site when required. Ensure all designs are completed on schedule and meet Heritage Floral Design’s quality standards.
Requirements:
Experience in Floral design is required, preferably in weddings or large-scale events. Strong technical skills in floral mechanics, color theory, and arrangement styles ranging from lush and romantic to modern and architectural. Excellent communication and leadership skills with a positive, can-do attitude. Ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team-centered environment. Comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including standing for long periods and lifting buckets, boxes, and installations. A calm, solution-oriented approach to high-pressure timelines.
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-time or event-based freelance roles available. Studio hours typically run Monday through Saturday, with extended hours during peak event weekends. Pay is competitive and based on experience and role scope.
