POSITION SUMMARY:

The floral execution position will handle all the execution of the floral and décor department of the Stroudsmoor Country Inn, in regard to set up for weddings, special events, and required facility arrangements. This is a part time position on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties Completes weekly assigned list of tasks Gathers, Labels and Prepares décor and floral required for weekly events Sets up and assists others in preparing the venues for the events with all floral and décor. Helps fellow associates in loading and unloading of vehicles, carrying and placement of florals, hanging of fabric, executing deliveries, and any other task that may be called for to complete the event with professionalism and the high standards that are associated with Stroudsmoor. Retrieves items from all buildings and stores them properly in their designated areas when events are completed General Duties Gathers, labels and organizes assigned items in an orderly and neat manner so as to be compatible with the entire team. Ensures that all gathered items are clean and in working order while reporting any disrepair to management. Monitors stock level of items commonly used. Notifying management when the shop is low on a particular item. Retrievals of items after the event with and without the assistance of other associates. Returns structures and other rental items to the appropriate locations free and clear of debris and other foreign objects. Accompanies the team in the maintenance and cleaning of the design studio and shop areas by following the weekly cleaning list which is submitted to the manager at the end of each week. Other Duties Executes, rotates and maintains Stroudsmoor votive candle supply by dropping off used votives to Terraview each Sunday or Monday and picking up and distributing clean votives to each building on Wednesday’s or Thursday’s. Has and maintains the necessary tools to complete each task, reporting any undersupplied items to management. Communicates, to the manager, any problem or idea that would be beneficial to the company. Monitors and maintains fabrics in the fabric room notifying management in case of shortage or disrepair by way of written notice and description. Follow the guidelines of the Employee Handbook and the recommendations from the Safety Committee. Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Ability to organize and follow a schedule. Ability to work without supervision, to be a self-starter. Good communication and team work skills. Have a set of tools, which will be supplemented by the company as needed. (Tools needed include wire cutter, scissor, black permanent marker, highlighter, and pen.)

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

Flexibility of scheduling. An understanding that in the hospitality business hours are not always set in stone. Although ample notification is given of scheduled days, (the hours in that day may vary according to work trends. This flexibility of hours is considered to be a required expectation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift and carry 45lbs on a regular basis.
