We have a wide selection of the best and newest products along with fresh house-made items. Our Specialty Department has a deep passion for connecting our patrons with mouth-watering, delectable local, gourmet and hard-to-find items that includes a quickly growing Floral Department. We are currently searching for an outgoing, creative-minded Floral Buyer to oversee day-to-day operations of our Floral Department as a part of a vivacious Specialty team. The candidate will also join a close team of very knowledgeable specialists who exemplify and lead the charge when it comes to Pruett’s Market top-tier customer service. The Floral Buyer will develop and lead floral merchandise strategies, be responsible for purchasing as well as achieving targeted sales and profits while maximizing the department and create a wonderful shopping experience for our customers. It’s hard not to smile when around flowers and that should show in our new Floral Buyer!!

Floral Buyer Job Duties:

Purchasing flowers and plants for the department, often working with pre-orders for the industry. Responsible for inventory and target expectations for the department. Processing and making beautiful arrangements to fill and help grow our department. Have strong customer service skills and ability to help customers with custom bouquets, requests or ideas for gifts. Must be passionate about merchandising as well as working with other department heads for cross-merchandising opportunities. Must maintain and build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers as well as sourcing new vendors and local buying opportunities. Candidate should be very creative and an innovative designer with strategies for special events and holidays. Should have a keen eye for aesthetics and trending designs within the industry. Candidate will work independently but also help others within the Specialty Department.

Job Requirements:

Must have extensive knowledge and experience with plant and flower care. Must be able to plan and execute large holiday orders and themes. Must have a vision to grow department sales and always have an eye for new ideas. Demonstrate problem-solving skills. Demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills. What’s in it for you?
