JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to create high-quality and attractive marketing pieces and elements using the latest in design tools and software to support the mission of Southeastern University and recruit prospective students. Other duties include web design and development, and maintaining digital assets including photos, graphics, fonts, and other design-related files. Position requires excellence in design, great attention to detail, and the ability to be a strong team player.

N/A ESSENTIAL DUTIES

– May include, but is not limited to the following: Maintain branding guidelines for the university Design and produce print collateral Design ads, billboards, website graphics, logos, social media graphics and other projects in various formats Work with the digital team to design for the SEU.edu website and other applications Communicate with other departments to develop content for projects Work with printers and other vendors to gather specifications and cost estimates for projects

LOCATION

EDUCATION
Required Education:

Bachelor’s in Graphic Design, Marketing, Art, Communications or other related field.

Preferred Education:

Master’s in Graphic Design, Marketing, Art, Communications or other related field.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Preferred:

Adobe Certified Expert (ACE), specializing in Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and more.

EXPERIENCE
Required:

A minimum of three years of relevant work experience

Preferred:

Higher education marketing and communications experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required:

Demonstrated design/creative ability and experience in art direction of photography Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator Strong conceptual skills with the ability to execute from concept through production Experience in print production and working knowledge of printing processes Experience in digital design and the web development process Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and assets Ability to work within tight timelines and maintain production quality Able to work well within a creative team

Preferred:

Previous experience with project management tools such as Asana or similar software Familiarity with creative processes and working with creative teams Knowledge of marketing strategies and digital media production Previous experience in Higher Education
