- Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, product labeling and packaging graphics are designed in accordance to customers’ needs and established standards for medical device product labeling, including labels, instructions for use, cartons, pouches, etc.
Additional design work for brochures, posters, manuals, books, advertising/promotional materials and internet/web design may be required. Uses own original and creative thinking to develop concepts and finished materials from rough ideas or customers’ needs. Broad knowledge of graphic art standards, graphic design software, medium used, and background information for work to be developed.

Responsibilities:
- + Following established procedures works closely with New Product Development teams and Packaging Engineers in the creation, design and implementation of product labeling and packaging graphics.
+ Develop illustrations as needed for product labeling and packaging graphics. + Works closely with outside services such as translation houses, service bureaus, design houses and consultants as needed. + Creates/revises product drawings and specifications as required. + Initiate documentation packages for artwork approval. + Initiates quotations and places order for engineering material. + Works closely with suppliers, providing suppliers with artwork and necessary support documentation (drawings/specifications). + Approves supplier proofs. + Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level. + Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance. + Performs typesetting and graphic design work for the development of product labels. + Responsible for releasing artwork to company network or quality system, providing suppliers with artwork and necessary support documentation, and approving proofs, blue-lines, or color chromes supplied by vendor. + Performs documentation-related functions including but not limited to procuring part numbers, initiating, expediting, obtaining approval, and release of applicable documentation.

Variable Designs:
- + Responsible for computer generated product labeling and/or clinical labels as required.
+ Develop and maintain design templates, print on demand labels and pre-printed labels. + Performs documentation-related functions including but not limited to procuring part numbers, initiating, expediting, obtaining approval, and release of required documentation + Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to next management level + For employees with supervisory responsibilities, ensure that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition + Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures + Responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality Procedures, Laws and Regulations of the applicable markets + Performs other duties assigned as needed.
- Qualifications
- Required Qualifications Requires a minimum 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent education and experience; Or 3+ years and a Master’s degree;Or a PhD with no previous professional experience.
Where required, the role must hold an appropriate degree in the industry (eg. Legal)
- Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Spanish a plus.
