The scope of the proposed services will include, but is not limitedto ,the following: Meet with State staff to determine the scope of a project Advise the State on strategies to reach a particular audience Determine the message the design should portray Create images that identify a product or convey a message Develop graphics for logos and websites Select colors, images, text style, and layout Present the design to the State Incorporate changes recommended by the State into the finaldesign Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them Ensure that coding standards are met, optimizing the webarchitectures for navigability and accessibility Utilize specialized graphic design software to prepare designs Keep up to date with the latest software and computertechnologies Plan site design by clarifying goals; designing functionality Develop site navigation by categorizing content; funneling trafficthrough content Develop site content and graphics by coordinating with copywritersand graphic artists; designing images, icons, banners, audioenhancements, related site enhancements Prepare site by installing and configuring server software;installing programming language using authoring and formattingtools; ensuring cross-platform compatibility; establishinglinks Establish locatability by registering with search engines Upgrade sthe ite by updating content and graphics, monitoringperformance and results; identifying and evaluating improvementoptions; introducing new technology; maintaining links Protect site by designing and installing security precautions Maintain site appearance by developing and enforcing content anddisplay standards; editing submissions Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing dataand trends Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas aremandatory: Bachelor’s degree Experience in software development or graphic design (Adobe CSsoftware suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, HTML,etc.) Experience in effectively executing against brand guidelines andmaintaining brand standards, including demonstrating consideredlayout, image composition, typography, and color palette Experience designing externally facing information and graphics ina visually appealing way Thorough knowledge of current technology solutions for theinternet, handheld/mobile devices, personal computers, andnetworks Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas aredesirable but not mandatory: Experience with education and/or governmental institutions Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or webapplications UX/UI Design competencies Application of specialized skills within a government agencyenvironment Remote working/work at home options are available for thisrole.
