Position Summary:
This position is responsible for digitizing files for embroidery.
Essential Functions:
Digitizes art sent over from internal departments. Guides digitizing cursor over art to trace coordinates, stops at specific points, and punches cursor key to digitize points into system unit. Digitizing the best stitch sequence, stitch type, and push-pull compensation need to be decided to create the best look with efficient pathing, no unwanted gaps, puckering or generally poor stitch outs. Works closely with internal graphic artist and customer service team to assure logos are digitized and set up to the best of your ability. Send, receive and process designs from Overseas & Customers. Process edit request from all sources to assure designs are corrected to sew efficiently. Sending stitch quotes Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Must have general computer skills. Must be quality and detail oriented. Must have a positive work attitude and be punctual. Must be familiar with Adobe Illustrator or similar art based programs. Must be able to handle stressful situations and deadline restraints in a positive manner. Must be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision. Must be familiar with Outlook Express and email protocol and have good verbal and written communication skills. Some sitting, standing, walking, lifting (over 75 lbs.), bending, twisting, reaching, stretching, pushing, and pulling required.
