Minimum Hiring Annual Salary:

$44,187.00

Maximum Hiring Annual Salary:

$46,397.00 To attain the maximum annual salary, employee must meet all minimum qualifications plus: 5 (five) years of additional applicable work experience and/or degrees higher than minimum qualification degree. Degrees higher than the minimum qualification degree can be used in combination with additional work experience. A combination of related education, on-the-job work experience, certifications and/or licenses that results in a candidate successfully meeting the minimum qualifications of the position, may be considered. The stated salary amounts are not guaranteed in the event employment ends with Aims during any fiscal year. Job Description:

The purpose for this position is to produce high quality printing/copier materials for Aims Community College.

Examples:

brochures, letterhead, forms, posters, tests, handouts, large format printing, books, manuals etc.

Responsibilities include:

timely productions of printed/copied material, billing quality assurance, repair and maintenance of equipment, customer service, communication with service professionals and Aims employees, machine/copier operation, general bindery and supply inventory. Requires the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot. Assists in inventory control and yearly inventory. Knowledge of the working phases in printing is preferred. Understanding of computers both Mac and PC based is preferred with knowledge of software which includes; Adobe CS Package, Word software. This position also ensures College is in compliance with copyright laws as they apply to education.

Operations & Printing:

Operate a variety of duplicating, copying, and printing equipment to reproduce rapid turn around production work. Ensure production work completed on time with strict attention to quality. Work with Department Manager help set scheduling priorities and deadlines, resolve scheduling conflicts, address quality issues and facilitate satisfactory resolution of user complaints.

Customer Service:

Converse, help and troubleshoot with customers. Provide on-site customer service and establishes proactive communications with faculty, staff and administrators.

Shop Functions:

Involved in day-to-day departmental functions. Has working knowledge and ability to job share with coworkers. Assists in training and oversight of Reprographics temporary staff and student employees (when applicable) on new and existing equipment, policies and procedures. Provides guidance as needed. Ensures college is in compliance with copyright laws as they apply to education. Assists in inventory control and yearly inventory. Trouble shooting hardware issues as well as software with the Fiery Command Workstation which includes navigating the print drivers for machines Make recommendations for business process improvements.

Production & Maintenance:

Complete typesetting and creative design work using computer software. Ensures production work completed on time and attention to quality. Operates proficiently the following high end graphics software programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and Acrobat. Setup, develop and implementation of Job Ticketing in PaperCut using Java Script, maintain the Repro Store Front and Email account. Have a working understanding of Microsoft Office programs and Quickbooks. Operate all peripheral printing, copying, bindery and electronic equipment. Perform routine maintenance and limited repairs. Trouble shooting hardware issues as well as software with the Fiery Command Workstation which includes navigating the print drivers for machines.

Budgetary Responsibility:

Daily Invoicing using Quickbooks which keeps tracks of inventory and pricing. Enters and maintains department WorkTags associated with Departmental Budgets Data entry on a monthly basis with Quickbooks and then converting the data to Excel that is turned into AP for Reprographics Budget transfers Keeping track on inventory and the charge back, which affects the overall Reprographics Budget and how it operates Produces the excel Doc that comes from PaperCut to charge back departments for Copier usage, Campus Copier Budget. Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in a related Graphic Design field, plus two (2) years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Experience with Quickbooks. Large format printing. Good customer service skills and presence with handling a variety of office situations.

Understanding of small business environment or print/copy shop with knowledge of computer software for MAC and PC environments, including Adobe CS Creative Cloud package and Microsoft Office programs. Have an understanding of monochrome and color copiers, with experience on finishing processes.
