The Department of Marketing and Communications tells the story of WPU to prospective students, parents, and the greater community. This Department leads the integrated marketing efforts for the University in an effort to elevate and drive brand awareness and enrollment.

Summary of Position:

The Graphic Designer will play a key role in supporting Peace’s communications, marketing, and branding initiatives. This position is responsible for creating compelling visual content for both print and digital platforms, ensuring consistency with institutional brand standards, and collaborating with various campus stakeholders to deliver high-quality creative solutions. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented. This position is being hired for the 2025-26 Fiscal Year and beyond and will start no earlier than July 1, 2025.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Integrated Marketing and Communications, the individual holding this position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties: Design and produce print and digital collateral, including brochures, advertisements, reports, event materials, presentations, infographics, web graphics, emails, signage, and promotional items. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and departments to conceptualize and execute visual solutions that support institutional goals and messaging. Develop and maintain brochure, flyer, and poster templates on MAC and PC platforms. Maintain and enforce brand guidelines to ensure visual consistency across all materials. Prepare artwork for publication, including file setup, formatting, and coordination with printers and vendors for production and quality assurance. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Provide art direction and creative input to campus partners, offering guidance on design best practices. Capture photos for use in promoting the institution and manage photo tagging and storage. Oversee administrative aspects of production, such as tracking project budgets, maintaining electronic job files, and coordinating with external vendors. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve design quality and efficiency. Manage the University’s digital signage to enhance branding and leverage content. Perform other job-related duties and projects assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or related field Minimum of three years of professional experience in graphic design, art director, or similar role. Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of print and digital work. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and other relevant design software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with page layout in WordPress Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS Hours per week: Full Time (12-Months, On-Site with occassional remote work opportunities)
