Position Description
Advertised Job Summary The Marketing and Communications Department within the Darla Moore School of Business wees applications for a full-time Senior Graphic Designer. The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for assisting DMSB’s marketing andmunication efforts through creative and strategic design of promotional materials, graphics and publications for and online/digital usage.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalentbination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Good working knowledge of photo-editing software such as Adobe Photoshop
Working knowledge of accessibility standards in graphic design and website assets
Demonstrated experience with typography and typesetting
Experience leading and training designers and projects
Demonstrated experience with multi-page layout and publication design
Experience designing graphics for social media and the web
Experience in higher education
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Demonstrate skills in creative design
Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to create animated display ads for multiple advertising channels
Excellent working knowledge of USC brand standards
Experience working with illustrations for custom graphics
Detail-oriented with strong internet usage skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
Strong written, oral, and organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize and successfully meet deadlines meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Creative and versatile, with the ability to take a project from concept topletion with minimal supervision

Job Duty The Senior Graphic Designer for the Darla Moore School of Business s responsibility for assisting the school’s marketing andmunication efforts through creative and strategic design and production under the direction of the Director of Marketing Communications and as scheduled by the Marketing and Communication Manager. Channels will include event fliers, invites, logos, postcards, posters, mailers, banners, brochures, digital materials, etc. as directed.
