Job Duties

  • promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large;
  • promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students;
  • participate on university committees;
  • write, edit and distribute press releases to the media;
  • designing print materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, banners, and promotional items for events, programs, and initiatives;
  • collaborating with the marketing and communications team to develop creative concepts and strategies that align with the university’s branding guidelines and objectives;
  • working closely with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, target audience, and messaging goals;
  • managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • staying up-to-date with design trends, tools, and techniques to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of visual communication;
  • assisting with photography and videography projects as needed;
  • ensuring consistency and quality control across all design deliverables; maintaining organized files and documentation for all design projects;
  • utilize Meltwater to monitor media hits and compile monthly reports for University stakeholders;
  • photograph campus events;
  • produce weekly internal newsletter for LMU constituents;
  • communicate with general public through social networking vehicles
  • assist in the creation and maintenance of a marketing plan for LMU in conjunction with the Executive Senior Director of Marketing and Public Relations;
  • work with appropriate divisions and departments of LMU and Administration division and University Advancement Office to determine appropriate markets for distribution of advertising and promotion;
  • Coordinate public relations efforts for assigned beats
  • work closely with the Office of Admissions and Student Services to plan and participate in student recruitment activities and promote events like Preview Days, Railsplitter for a Day, FAFSA Workshops, etc.;
  • Manage MeritPages recognition for students and distribution of hometown releases for Dean’s list and graduation;
  • attend monthly meetings with the Administration division;
  • complete required institutional and program accreditation reports necessary for the operation and advancement of the university;
  • plan and post messaging on campus signage including building screens and marquee at front of campus; and
  • perform other duties as assigned.
