Job Description
Job purpose
Work together with the new product design team to deliver high quality designs for the operator stations and control system ergonomics of new turf products that meet Kubota standards, domestic and international standards, and the requirements of all markets served by these products.
Duties and responsibilities
Develop high-quality designs within specified project timelines and objectives as an entry-level engineer.
Generate innovative and user-friendly designs for operator stations and control systems for Kubota turf products, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, manufacturability, and safety standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, testing, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality control, throughout the entire design process from prototype development to production.
Produce detailed design reports, 3D models, and drawings following Kubota standards, engineering research, and advanced calculations.
Address technical challenges associated with new product design.
Demonstrate the ability to work in various environments, including office, test field, and manufacturing settings.
Be willing to work extended and flexible hours to collaborate with team members on different shifts and international business units. Physical ability to travel domestically and internationally, with up to 25% of travel required.
Essential Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering-related field.
Demonstrated success in operating effectively within cross-cultural environments.
Proficient in computer skills, encompassing MS Office and Google-based programs.
Possesses knowledge of engineering mechanics and vehicle systems, including operator
stations, control system ergonomics, statics, dynamics, kinematics, etc.
Familiarity with manufacturing and fabrication processes such as cutting, drilling,
welding, forming, and machining.
Exhibits strong organizational and motivational skills.
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Displays outstanding problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
