.HTI is assisting a manufacturing company in Augusta, GA with their search for a Product Design/Manufacturing Engineer. This is a full-time, direct hire, salaried position. This is an exciting opportunity with room for growth and advancement!
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering
Must have 3+ years of product design and manufacturing process experience
Process improvement and Lean/Six Sigma experience
Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD and SolidWorks)
Experience in prototyping and hands-on shop work
Strong communication and organizational skills
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
Job Duties:
Design and develop new products based on customer specifications, from concept to production
Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings
Prototype and test new designs, ensuring they meet all functional and safety requirements
Coordinate new product design, prototyping, and manufacturing with the Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Production teams to ensure
Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement
Assist with the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste
Develop and document new processes to enhance product quality and production speed
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process
Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed
Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation and reports
