Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Outfitting Designer to join our team in Pascagoula, MS. In this role, you will apply advanced drafting techniques to create layouts, drawings, diagrams, and other engineered designs based on technical specifications. You’ll work cross-functionally with multiple departments to ensure quality, compliance, and consistency across complex ship outfitting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed outfitting designs and technical drawings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain design consistency and project alignment.
Review, verify, and check drawings, including visits to production areas.
Ensure compliance with CAD standards and Bollinger design protocols.
Incorporate standard materials and company best practices whenever feasible.
Interpret and apply job specifications and regulatory requirements.
Adhere to established procedures related to PRNs, ECPs, EARs, budget requests, and drawing control.
Review and integrate vendor and supplier technical data as needed.
Address feedback from clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of design activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Strong understanding of design principles, drafting techniques, and engineering practices.
Familiarity with outfitting and manufacturing processes.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Awareness of industry regulations and compliance standards.
Proficiency in CAD tools and drafting equipment.
Experience with ShipConstructor and Navisworks is highly preferred.

Education & Experience:

Associate degree in Industrial Technology or a related field (or equivalent college coursework).
Minimum of 3 years of relevant design experience required.
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
