What You’ll Do
Epic Games is looking for a Designer to join our Ecosystem Design team. In this role, you’ll utilize your experience, proficiency in cosmetic monetization, and knowledge of UGC ecosystems to help shape the future of cosmetics in the Fortnite universe.
In this role, you will
Sustain and expand existing cosmetic systems by introducing fresh content, interactions, and behaviors using your technical skills
Collaborate closely with artists, programmers, and other designers to ensure cosmetic features are cohesive, functional, and visually compelling
Support others in brainstorming and conceptualizing new cosmetic mechanics and initiatives
Analyze player behavior and feedback to refine cosmetic systems and ensure a high-quality player experience
Help define and maintain best practices and design guidelines for cosmetic systems within the team
What we’re looking for
5+ years of gameplay design and/or cosmetics development experience
Proficiency in UE5 blueprint and/or visual scripting languages; comfortable with regular hands-on development
Experience with all stages of development, from pitch & prototype to shipping & live support
Ability to drive initiatives, with a desire to move quickly and challenge the status quo
Knowledgeable about the Fortnite Ecosystem and its offerings
Demonstrated ability to improvise and creatively solve problems
Strong communication and presentation skills

Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
