Product Designer Turmoil Manufacturing Co. 735 W Swanzey Rd, Swanzey, NH 03446
Position Summary:
The Product Designer is responsible for the timely development of production packages to support the manufacture of industrial refrigeration systems.
General Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe work environment. Design full bill of materials (BOM) for industrial refrigerated products by selecting the correct components, pipe size, and layout. Use AutoCad and Excel to prepare refrigeration and piping system plans. Act as lead in the creation of product shop orders. Prepare product manuals. Participate in the ECO process. Perform additional tasks as assigned such as testing, inspection, etc. Work closely with other departments including Engineering and Assembly to achieve company goals. Be a team player. Work hard and have fun. Make suggestions to foster an environment of continuous improvement for oneself, team, and company. Qualifications and Skills Proficient with AutoCAD design software. Knowledge or the ability to learn specialized manufacturing software (e.g., TruTops Boost, Solidworks). Ability to create and read technical drawings. Ability to use inspection equipment including (e.g., calipers, square). Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to multitask and prioritize own workload. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment. Attention to detail and accuracy. Associate’s Degree in CAD, Drafting, or Design; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or similar (Preferred) High School Diploma or equivalent (Required) Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) Ability to lift 50 lbs.
