Job Description
Perform engineering review of new and repeat orders from customers. Review production planning and schedule. Review in process, finished quality issues, and work with manufacturing team members to resolve them. Provide laser, mechanical drill, and rout process engineering support. Generate and review outgoing quality inspection reports before product shipment. Engineering review is done on incoming customer supplied manufacturing files including Fabrication drawing to meeting DFM (Design For manufacturing ) guidelines of R D Altanova. Once customer design meets the DFM requirement, create manufacturing work instructions for operators and release it to production. Perform CNC drilling and routing (to drilling holes in printed circuit boards (pcbs)), Laser drilling (creating micro vias on pcbs), Solder Jetting (creating solder bumping on pcbs), Solder reflow (Flattening solder bumped pads), Metrology using Nikon (to verify dimensions on pcbs), TDR (Time domain reflectometry) to measure impedance of pcbs, ATG Electrical Tester to Test pcbs for opens and shorts, Keyence microscope (measures features of pcb). DOE (Design of Experiments) to improve yields and new process development of pcbs. Failure analysis and corrective actions on any failed boards. R D Altanova is making pcbs for semiconductor testing of wafers and packaged substrates for the semiconductor test interface market.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 12 months of experience.
