Job Description:

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our team. TheMechanical Designer will work under the direction of the DesignEngineer to design and develop a broad spectrum of engineeringdevices to develop or improve the product lines. This will includeworking with metal fabrications, hydraulics, mechanical drivesystems, pneumatics, pressurized water systems, and electricalsystems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Create, develop, and maintainlarge assembly models, detailed component drawings, and complexassembly drawings in SolidWorks. Create and maintain bills ofmaterials in SolidWorks and ERP. Create and maintain engineeringdocumentation using standard engineering procedures. Acquirecomponent specification documents and create specificationdocumentations. Participate in the ECO process and perform anyrelated changes and essential documentation. Collaborate withmaterial and production personnel and vendors to produce designsthat minimize labor and overall cost. Provide technical support forproduction and service to help troubleshoot problems as needed.

Participate in process improvement projects to continually improvebusiness practices. Complete special projects as assigned. Will beworking in office and manufacturing shop with occasional travel tosuppliers and customer worksites (travel typically less than 5%).

Desired Skills:

Ability to develop and detail 2D & 3D designs ofcomplex systems. High organizational skills & hands-on attitude andability. Above average mechanical aptitude. The ability toself-motivate to meet project deadlines. Excellent written andverbal communication skills. Disposition to work toward continuousdesign improvement. Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs. and climba ladder. Education and Experience Minimum 2-year degree inmechanical design. 2-5 years of relevant machine design experience.

Experience with SolidWorks Advanced Assembly, Sheet Metal,Routings, and Drawings. Experience with SolidWorks EnterpriseProduct Data Management (EPDM) is preferred.
