Built Technologies is looking for a SeniorProduct Designer to join our Owner & Contractor team. As a SeniorProduct Designer you will be responsible for owning the designstrategy and execution within your product area. You lead byexample, thrive in establishing clarity amid ambiguity, and bringothers along with you in the process. You have experience solvingcomplex problems, can remain focused in a fast-paced environment,and have the ability to zoom out and see the big picture. Whatyou’ll do: Partner with product and engineering to deliver premiumproducts and services to Built customers Become an expert inconstruction finance by observing, learning from, and empathizingwith new and existing customers Provide clear vision, designdirection and ownership for each initiative: creating deliverables,communicating with your team, & validating your work with customersShow your work during the conceptual design phase by creating userflows, story maps, workflow diagrams, and other strategic artifactsas necessary Explore multiple solutions to problems, knowing whento spend the time on high-fidelity mockups and prototypes versussimple sketches and wireframes Humbly present your work to othersand be receptive to feedback Collaborate regularly with engineersto measure design feasibility, pivot when necessary, and ensuredesigns are implemented in accordance with intent Monitor wheredesign patterns break down, and promote necessary changes to ourdesign system and processes Be generous with your time andexpertise to help level up colleagues, provide ad-hoc designcritique, and improve the team holistically Define metrics for userengagement within your product area and work with others to analyzedata, identify trends, and opportunities for iteration Help buildthe product design team by participating in interviews andproviding thoughtful feedback Be an advocate for the user. Who you are: You have 5 years experience, ideally within a SaaScompany You have an aptitude for deconstructing complex problemswithin a complicated business domain (construction finance) You’rea great designer and a better problem-solver with a portfolio ofexamples demonstrating your work, success, and even failures You’recomfortable leading discovery sessions with customers, walking themthrough prototypes, and coordinating user testing opportunitiesYou’re a strategic thinker with big ideas, but understand when tofocus on the details to get the job done. You’re not afraid tostand up for your designs, but also humble enough to take feedbackand constructive criticism well You’re comfortable diving into anexisting application and finding the balance between leveragingwork in place versus starting from scratch You can quicklyprototype your ideas for feedback using a variety of tools Youoften explore new tools and methods and make recommendations whereappropriate You have worked with a design system and successfullydistributed it across an organization You are deeply familiar withthe tools that bring design to life in the browser:
HTML/CSS/Javascript (React) You are passionate about accessibilityand best practices for making products usable for all Built’ssalary range for this position is $125,000-$170,000 USD per year.
The pay range is designed to accommodate upward mobility in therole, therefore it encompasses the full span of proficiency levelsfor this role and we believe that the midpoint of the range iscompetitive in the market. Salary is just one component of Builtstotal compensation package for employees.
