Interior Designer/Retail Specialist Accents of the South Huntsville, AL 35801 Full Job Description Accents of the South is looking for an Interior Designer to play an integral role in our growing High-End Interiors firm. We are looking for someone with both a skilled design background/keen design eye, and who has a passion for managing in-person and online retail sales. The candidate should have a strong portfolio, be comfortable working autonomously, and possess exceptional attention to detail. This is the perfect role who someone who thrives in an environment with a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in interior design, experience working with online retail platforms such as Shopify, and an eagerness to take creative directorship over the continual development of our online shop.

About You:

INTERIOR DESIGN BACKGROUND

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• Minimum 2 years’ interior design or relevant experience
• Experienced working in all work stages of a project from concept to completion
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or any related 3D Modeling Software
• Possess keen design sensibility
• Well versed in product sourcing with comprehensive knowledge of vendors for

FF&E RETAIL SPECIALIST BACKGROUND

• Minimum 1 years’ experience working in or managing a retail space
• Proficient in Shopify or other online sales platforms
• Able to lift 30 pounds unassisted
• Possess keen design sensibility related to the showroom layout as well as visual representation on the online shop

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and visual
• Extremely detailed oriented, and possess excellent follow-through
• Self-motivated, a good team member who can be relied upon to work quickly and efficiently in an organized manner
• Self-confident and receptive to constructive feedback
• Have a sales-oriented mind, including selling to design clients, in-store clients, and online clients
